The Smart Mature Resilience (SMR) project will hold a Stakeholder Workshop in Brussels (Belgium) on 7 March 2018, 09.30-14.00, as part of the activities of the Tier 3 programme. The event will be held as part of ICLEI's Breakfast at Sustainability's series.
Breakfast at Sustainability's (B@S) is Europe’s leading, ongoing sustainability discussions. The small, informal meetings are moderated by representatives of regional and local governments. Topics covered are related to sustainable community developments that are essential to public authorities.
In attendance will be the Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of the SMR project, SMR project research partners and European and international policymakers and influential voices in the sector of city resilience. The SMR Tier 1 cities are: Donostia/San Sebastian (Spain), Glasgow (United Kingdom) and Kristiansand (Norway); Tier 2 are Bristol (United Kingdom), Riga (Latvia), Rome (Italy) and Vejle (Denmark) and Tier 3 are Amman (Jordan), Athens (Greece), Greater Manchester (United Kingdom), Malaga (Spain), Malmö (Sweden), Münster (Germany), Rekjavik (Iceland), Stirling (United Kingdom) and Thessaloniki (Greece).
This event will be open to further cities, to form the final circle of Tier 4 cities.
At the event, cities will receive training in the SMR city resilience decision support tools.
