How do we activate the construction sector in mainstreaming nature-based solutions?
24 February 2021 at 15:00-16:30 CET
We are excited to announce the next webinar in the ‘Nature-based Economy’ Webinar Series will now take place as a plenary keynote and dialogue session within the framework of The Nature of Cities Festival, a virtual event spanning 5 days across five time zones and multiple languages.
In this webinar, we explore increasing evidence of the potential of nature as an engine for sustainable market and jobs growth. Take the green buildings sector as an example – a recent report[1] has shown over 550 businesses are active in Austria in this one sector alone generating almost €100 million in turnover. While historically in Europe the public sector has taken the lead in financing and implementing green infrastructure and nature-based solutions, as public awareness of the climate crisis increases we are increasingly now seeing developers and businesses stepping up and asking how can they invest?
We invite you to join us for a dynamic session in which we bring together political visionaries and business leaders from around the world to share their strategies and experiences in realising the potential of the nature-based economy.
