Join Paula Vandergert and guests for this webinar where the principles underpinning community engagement as an integral part of delivering successful nature-based solutions are examined.  We’ll look at case studies from two different perspectives – how to reach the hardest communities, and successful engagement of multiple stakeholders to achieve common consensus. Followed by an open discussion and Q & A on supporting wider adoption of community engagement processes as part of the development, delivery and stewardship of nature-based solutions.

Panellists:

How academic research and global priorities frame community engagement as a ‘must have’, and the challenges and opportunities for embedding meaningful community engagement in nature-based solution delivery

How NBS can be used as a tool for social integration, helping the hardest to reach communities make valuable connections and contributions in urban green spaces, including through the new concept of the ‘gardeniser’.

How co-creation processes enable meaningful engagement of multiple stakeholders to agree and implement complex social-ecological systems solutions in a landscape.
